IPL PhotoFacials - Rejuvenation in Toronto for Man and Women

What is IPL Photo rejuvenation?
IPL Photo rejuvenation (often referrer as Photorejuvenation and photo facial) is a non-invasive procedure that uses Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) to erase the signs of aging from the face, neck, chest, and hands. A treatment program typically includes two to six sessions of about 20 minutes each, performed at three-week intervals.
Photo rejuvenation is becoming one of most popular cosmetic procedure in Toronto and in North America as whole. At Cellulie's Toronto Cosmetic Clinic, it is often requested in cases where individuals prefer a non-invasive means of getting rid of various kinds of skin blemishes, such as fine wrinkles, broken capillaries and age spots or sun damage skin. There is wide range of skin conditions that can be effectively treate such as:
 *  Age spots/sun damage (sun-induced freckles)
 *  Broken capillaries
 *  Telangiectasias
 *  Most benign brown pigments
 *  Symptoms of rosacea
 *  Vascular changes

Unlike more aggressive treatments, IPL Skin Treatments using Photo rejuvenation treat the full face for an overall smoother and more aesthetically pleasing effect. Typically performed in a series of treatments at three-week intervals, IPL provides natural-looking improvement with almost no side effects, and is known for very high patient satisfaction. And the procedure is gentle enough to be performed on the neck, chest and hands.

Photo rejuvenation FAQ

IPL - How it works?
A broad spectrum of light is transmitted through a transparent handpiece which is gently placed over the skin. The light penetrates the tissue and is absorbed by either the blood when treating vascular lesions or the melanin when treating pigmented lesions damaging them. The body's natural processes then remove the injured tissue giving the skin a more even and youthful appearance.

What can IPL Photo rejuvenation treat?
IPL Photorejuvenation has the unique capacity to treat multiple symptoms of aging skin on your entire face in each treatment session. Among these are fine lines, red blemishes, mottled coloration, broken blood vessels, pigment discoloration such as freckles and age spots, enlarged pores, coarse or rough skin, loss of skin tone and elasticity, and general sun damage. The result is a youthful, smooth and revitalized facial appearance. IPL can also treat spots, discolored areas and other tell-tale signs of aging on your hands, chest and neck.

WHAT RESULTS CAN I EXPECT?
After only one treatment, your skin will have a more even tone with a smoother look and feel. Sunspots will fade. Pore sizes will shrink. Fine lines and wrinkles will gradually decrease in size. These improvements will steadily increase with each treatment. Patients with rosacea will see a progressive decrease in redness with every treatment.

Why is IPL Photo rejuvenation better than other treatments?
In addition to treating multiple symptoms and locations in each session, IPL is gentle, non-invasive and safe. Because of this, there is no "down time." You see results in the complexion and the skin texture of the entire face. You can return to your normal routines and activities immediately. In fact, many people even schedule their sessions during their lunch break. Additionally, IPL treatments are customized to your specific skin type and color, providing the best possible results.

Who is a candidate for this new procedure?
Whether you're a man or a woman, if you are showing the signs of aging and sun damaged skin, you should consider IPL Photo rejuvenation to help you look as young and healthy as you feel. A brief consultation with an IPL specialist is the way to find out. We do not recommend IPL teatment for client with darker skin type (V and VI) as risk of permanent hyperpigmentations is high. Microdermabrasion and chemical peels should be used instead.

ARE IPL PHOTOFACIAL REJUVENATION TREATMENTS SAFE?
Yes. Advanced light systems have been used safely for millions of treatments worldwide. These systems treat only the targeted tissues, leaving the surrounding tissue intact. However, some bruising or redness may occur.

How is IPL Photo rejuvenation performed?
Before treatment, a cold gel is usually applied to the area to be treated, and you may be given dark glasses to shield your eyes from the bright light.
During treatment, the smooth glass surface of the IPL handpiece is gently applied to your skin, delivering pulses of light to the area being treated. IPL treatments are usually considered pain-free, but an anesthetic cream can be used if you find the light pulses at all uncomfortable. Treatment sessions usually last about 20 minutes, and a complete program usually includes four to six sessions.

HOW Long RESULT WILL LAST?
Results are long-lasting, usually a year or longer.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?
Depending on the area treated, there will be a series of five to eight treatments. Treatments usually take from 15 to 30 minutes.

DOES IPL PHOTOFACIAL REJUVENATION HURT?
Most patients describe the sensation to be like the snap of a rubber band on the skin as the pulses of energy are delivered through the handpiece. Some patients opt to have a topical anesthesia.

WHAT WILL RECOVERY BE LIKE?
After treatment, you can return to your normal routines and activities immediately. After treatment with IPL, the treated skin may appear a little flushed and capillaries may seem to be more visible. The flushed look soon fades away, and the capillaries appear to vanish, leaving the skin looking younger. Following any treatment, you should avoid any harsh skin cleansers and use sunscreen. The treated skin is more sunsensitive for two to three weeks and is not usually done when people have a tan.

How much does IPL Photo rejuvenation cost?
Costs vary depending on several factors, such as what are is treated,  the severity of your condition, etc. Compared to other aesthetic procedures, IPL Photorejuvenation is quite affordable and competitive. It is usually priced above Microdermabrasion or certain chemical peels, but costs less than laser resurfacing and cosmetic surgeries. IPL procedures are not covered by health insurance. Celluline offers most competitive IPL prices in Toronto and GTA.
